"The Visit of the Old Lady" dir. Robert Czechowski

Old lady visitis primarily the story of a small town community - a community that - as in a classic ancient tragedy - was faced with fundamental, ontological questions about ethical and moral norms that should be followed by every thinking person:  how to live with dignity, without doing it at the expense of others.

The performance becomes a pretext to show the moral and ethical attitudes of individual characters. In the end, nobody wins. Every inhabitant of the town succumbs to the temptation to improve their lot, eventually agreeing to the crime.

The creators do not shy away from comedy scenes, although the effect is a bitter diagnosis of the moral attitudes of contemporary European societies and power elites.
